Bunnik Tours - Going On Tour
Tour Guides
Our tours are locally hosted. This means an English-speaking guide based in the country you are visiting will escort the tour.
On some multi-country tours there is a different guide in each country. For example, our Egypt and Jordan tour has an Egyptology expert leading the tour in Egypt and a licenced Jordanian guide in Jordan.
We carefully select our guides to ensure they are true experts in their fields and have a genuine love for their country. They have a wealth of information and look forward to welcoming you to their country and culture.
From time to time we will send an Australian tour escort on one of our tours. Please refer to our website or give us a call for details on which tours will be escorted from Australia in 2008. Even when we have an escort from Australia, local guides will still provide all sightseeing.
Included Meals
All tours include some but not all meals, which gives you the opportunity to try some local restaurants!
(Your tour guide will always be able to recommend a good local restaurant.)
Breakfast is generally included every day. In Asia and the Middle East breakfast is usually buffet-style with local and western-style dishes.
In some European countries breakfast is continental-style consisting of breads, cheeses, jams and lots of coffee!!
Lunches and dinners are generally buffet style with a variety of local and some western dishes. Vegetarians will normally find sufficient choices but please let us know so we can inform your guide. Drinks will need to be paid for at lunches and dinners.
Tipping Made Easy
Tipping is not a natural part of Australian culture and many of us feel uncomfortable, or unsure, about when, or how much to tip.
However, in many of the countries we visit, tipping makes up a significant part of many people’s wages so it’s important that we get it right.
For this reason in 2006 we developed Tipping Made Easy to selected destinations. This simple system sees us collect tips at the time of booking. We pay these to our local staff and they take care of all the tips. Easy! Please note that on tours where Tipping Made Easy operates it is compulsory for logistical reasons that all tour members participate. Please see tour pages for details.
Australian Made
Our tours are designed here in Australia for Australian travellers. We understand your need for balance and variety in sightseeing and we know the importance of taking time to recover from long-haul flights! And because our tours are not sold overseas, you’ll always travel with people who know what footy is!
Single Travellers
Single travellers are very welcome and actually make up a fair number of our passengers. Single travellers wishing to stay in their own room will need to pay a single supplement. We can match up single travellers of the same sex, however, in the event that we cannot find anybody suitable to share with you the single supplement is payable.
Second Tour Discounts
Book a second tour and get $50 off that tour. This applies to all group tours but sorry, not extensions.
Past Bunnik Tours passengers also receive a $50 discount on any group tours booked.
These discounts are in addition to any spot specials available at the time of booking.
Private Tours
Within each region we offer a range of independent travel options as well as extensions. For many of our small group tours we can also arrange for you to have your own private departure. For the cost of a small supplement you can have your own private guides and driver and depart on dates which suit you. Just look out for the Private Departure logo on the tour pages.
Bunnik Tours can also arrange private group departures for all of our tours. These are great for family reunions, school groups and clubs. The itineraries can be changed to suit any special interest.
Children
We understand that many people falling in the Not too young and not too old age group have children.
Children 14 and over are welcome on our tours. For families with children younger than this we recommend a private tour.
This way we can tailor the itinerary to suit your specific needs.
Please feel free to contact us if you would like any further information regarding bringing your children on tour.
