Experience the desert life of the Bedouin tribes. Bahariya Oasis is located approximately 400km from Cairo, and is one of the least developed of all the oases. Travel through the dunes by 4WD to El Qasr, the old Mudbrick Village.
Witness the strange lunar-like rock formations in the Black and White Deserts and see the Greco-Roman "Golden Mummies" at the Antiquities Office. Visit the Temple of Alexander the Great as well as two unique coloured tombs from the 26th Dynasty. Enjoy a stunning desert sunset and an evening under the stars with a traditional Bedouin-style barbeque.

Itinerary
Day 1
Travel by private vehicle 360km south-west of Cairo to Bahariya Oasis. Enjoy a 4x4 tour of El Qasr, the old mudbrick village, passing through palm groves, fruit trees and rice fields; agriculture in the area dates back thousands of years. The trip continues through sand dunes to the Black Mountains, the Salt Lake and the Pyramid Mount Arab. At sunset climb to English House for breathtaking views, before continuing to the hotel for dinner and overnight. [D]
Day 2
After breakfast travel in a 4x4 for the Black and White Desert Safari. Stop at the Black Pyramids and continue to the small oasis of El Heiz. In the White Desert, view some of the most beautiful desert scenery including "The Acacia Tree" and the bizarre mushroom formations. Witness a stunning desert sunset before a traditional outdoor Bedouin barbeque under the stars. [B,L,D]
Day 3
This morning you will visit the Greco/Roman mummies, "The Golden Mummies", at the Antiquities Office. Continue to see the two coloured tombs of the 26th Dynasty, the temple of Ain El Maftela, the temple of Alexander the Great. Travel by private vehicle back to Cairo. [B]
