Adriatic Cruise Itinerary

Day 1  Koper - Zadar
Today you'll embark your cruise ship at Slovenia's most important port.  The M/V Arion will be your home for the next 7 nights.  Tonight you will set sail for the Croatian city of Zadar. [D]

Day 2  Plitvice Lakes
This morning you'll arrive in Zadar, the oldest Slavic city on the Adriatic. Here there is an optional tour of the spectacular Plitvice National Park. With its 16 terraced lakes surrounded by thickly-wooded hills it’s a tranquil setting and nature at its best. Tonight you will set sail for Ploce. [B,L,D]

Day 3  Ploce
Early this morning you will sail into the large commercial port of Ploce which is located in central Dalmatia. Here you are free to explore on your own or take an optional tour of Mostar, a famous old city in Bosnia Herzegovina. This afternoon you will set sail for Korcula, the birthplace of Marco Polo.  Explore the main square and see the Cathedral Square and nearby Marco Polo’s family house. Tonight we sail to Kotor. Day 4  Kotor
An amazing day as you sail in the Bay of Kotor, the largest European fjord outside of Norway. The bay and the old town of Kotor are both on UNESCO’s World Heritage list. Tonight we leave Kotor and head for Albania. [B,L,D]

Day 5  Durres
Morning arrival in the port of Durres, Albania’s most important maritime gateway and well known for it’s riviera. Here you are free to explore on your own or take an optional tour of the Albanian capital Tirana. Tonight we set sail for Dubrovnik. [B,L,D]
 
Day 6  Dubrovnik
Today is a real highlight as you sail into historic Dubrovnik. With its ancient city walls and medieval architecture you will feel like you have stepped back in time. The main pedestrian thoroughfare, Placa, is full of lively cafes, colourful shops and outstanding monuments. Here you are free to explore on your own and soak up the atmosphere of this charming city, or take an optional city tour. [B,L,D]

Day 7 Split
This morning you'll arrive at Split, a historic city built around the Roman Emperor Diocletian’s Palace and also a UNESCO World Heritage site. This afternoon there is an optional tour to the artists’ town of Trogir where scholars gather to study and paint. Tonight we sail back to Koper.  [B,L,D]

Day 8  Koper
After breakfast you will disembark the M/V Arion.  [B]
