Day 1 Arrive Johannesburg
Upon arrival in Johannesburg you will need to make your own way to the nearby airport hotel.
Day 2 Johannesburg – Windhoek
This morning we fly to Windhoek, the capital of Namibia. On our arrival we will be met by our friendly guide and travel into the Kalahari Desert, the largest sand mass on earth. Our adventure begins! [B,D]
Day 3 Kalahari – Fish River Canyon
This morning we visit the unique Quiver Tree Forest. The quiver tree, a member of the genus Aloe, usually reaches a height of 3-5m. although trees occasionally grow up to 8 m high. The branches of these trees were hollowed out by the San for use as quivers for their arrows, hence the name. We also visit the huge dolerite boulders of the Giants Playground, estimated to be between 160 million and 180 million years old. The name originates from the fact that it appears as if giants had been playing with the boulders and left them where they lay. We then continue on to our lodge near Fish River Canyon. [B,D]
Day 4 Fish River Canyon – Luderitz
Gaze into the magnificent Fish River Canyon, the second-largest canyon on earth, before we continue down the Great Escarpment to the stretched plains of the Namib Desert. Along the way keep your eye out for the enchanting wild horses of the Namib, which surprisingly thrive even in the harsh desert. When we reach Luderitz we enjoy a tour of this unique coastal town. [B,D]

The various colours - the blues of the mountains, yellows of the grasslands and varying oranges and reds of the dunes - are simply breathtaking. [B,D]
