Day 1 Australia - Calgary
Welcome to Canada. On our arrival in Calgary, we will be met and transferred to our hotel. Calgary, Alberta’s largest city is a vibrant boom town located on the banks of the Bow River. In the distance lie the majestic Rocky Mountains. Tonight enjoy a welcome dinner and get know your fellow travellers [D]
Day 2 Calgary - Banff
This morning we take an orientation tour of Calgary that includes Fort Calgary and a stop at the Olympic Park. In the afternoon we head for the mountains as we travel to Banff National Park. [B]
Day 3 Banff
This morning we take a boat ride on Lake Minnewanka, the largest lake in Banff National Park. We then take a gondola ride to the summit of Sulphur Mountain. The vistas from the top of the mountain will take your breath away and will also give you a great opportunity to take photos of the historic Banff Springs Hotel. The afternoon is at leisure to simply relax and enjoy the stunning scenery or experience one of the hot springs for which the town is well-known. [B]
Day 4 Banff - Jasper
Today we arrive at Lake Louise, in the middle of the Canadian wilderness. We also stop at the Columbia Icefields, one of the largest accumulations of ice and snow south of the Arctic Circle. Here we get terrific views of the Athabascar Glacier. [B]
Day 5 Jasper - Sun Peaks
We take the scenic Yellowhead Highway today to the mountainous haven of Sun Peaks. Sun Peaks consists of three exceptional mountains that rise majestically above the alpine resort town. [B]
Day 6 Sun Peaks - Whistler
Onwards today to Whistler, one of the top four-season resorts in North America and home to the 2010 Winter Olympics. [B]
Day 7 Whistler - Victoria
Today we follow the Sea to Sky Highway to Vancouver and take the ferry across to Vancouver Island. [B]
Day 8 Victoria
A relaxing day as we take a scenic drive along the coastline to Butchart Gardens. The gardens are 55 acres full of floral beauty and are still family-owned. They have been granted the prestigious honour of being a national historic site by the Canadian Government. In the afternoon there is an option to take an unforgettable whale-watching trip. [B]
Day 9 Victoria - Vancouver
We return to Vancouver by ferry and enjoy a tour of this vibrant, international city. Highlights include the historic Gastown area, colourful Chinatown and Stanley Park with its massive collection of totem poles. [B]
Day 10 Vancouver
This morning we visit one of Vancouver’s oldest tourist attractions, the Capilano Suspension Bridge. The bridge was originally built in 1889 and stretches 137 metres across the Capilano River. The rest of the day is at leisure to further explore the city on your own. Renowned for its scenic beauty and endless outdoor activities, Vancouver is a cosmopolitan city with many urban amenities. [B]
Day 11 Vancouver
After breakfast, the day is at leisure before transferring to the airport to begin our journey home. [B]
