Want to go to Egypt? Well now is the time to visit without crowds. All tourist sites are open and our tours are operating as normal.

Tourism is a major industry in Egypt and the tourism infrastructure/systems are highly developed.  It is important to note that the protests in Egypt last year were purely a domestic issue and have not been targeted at tourists in any way.  The Egyptian people continue to welcome overseas visitors with open arms. 

Bunnik Tours is working closely with our local office to monitor the situation and will provide further updates as information becomes available.

Our guide Medhat has been very informative and has been good company. He is amazed, because never in his 16 years of guiding, has he seen a group who hates free time like we do, we always want him with us to explain things as we go while he prefers to explain first and allow us to explore. New Year's Eve on the boat was a blast, in fact our time on the boat was so relaxing and the standard of accomodation and food better than we expected. I have told Vicki that Jerry's concerns regarding safety, too much walking and the lugging of luggage from place to place were unfounded. "Lynlea and I had a fantastic time in Egypt.  We travelled at a time when the protests in Tahrir Square and elsewhere in the country were at their peak and during the start of the long term electoral process. We could not have felt safer throughout the whole tour. The Egytpians are a warm and very hospitable people. Our guide Eman Bahaa was everything we could have wished, with her passionate enthusiasm for the history and culture of Egypt. We learnt so much from one of the great Egyptologists and saw so much that we will treasure for ever. The accommodation and food was fantastic and the trip down the Nile an amazing and unforgettable experience. Tour agent Flywell and particularly Mohammend Ali could not do enough for us. The climate is ideal and everything priced to make a sale. The Egyptian people deserve our support. Tourism is a major source of revenue and it is now at its lowest level for many years.
