Nepal - Glimpse of Nepal Itinerary

Day 1  Kathmandu
Welcome to the largest city in the country - and pretty much the only city! On arrival you will be transferred to your hotel before your sightseeing begins with a half-day orientation tour which includes a visit to the historic seat of royalty, Kathmandu Durbar Square, and one of the world’s most famous Buddhist Chaityas – the Swyambhunath Stupa. Both were listed as UNESCO World Heritage Monuments in 1979.

Day 2  Kathmandu
Today you will continue your sightseeing in Kathmandu with a half-day tour which includes visits to the Pashupatinath Temple, Patan Durbar Square and Bouddhanath Stupa. This afternoon you tour Dhulikhel village, which is one of the important trading centres linking Nepal and Tibet. [B]

Day 3  Kathmandu - Pokhra
Leaving Kathmandu your journey continues today to Pokhra, a resort city of remarkable beauty. If Kathmandu is the cultural hub of Nepal, Pokhra is its centre of adventure. Nestled in a tranquil valley, it is the starting point for many of Nepal’s most popular trekking and rafting destinations. [B]

Day 4  Pokhra
Take a half-day city tour of Pokhra which includes Phewa Lake, Devi’s Fall, Bindabasini Temple and Seti Gorge. You also capture the most stunning of Pokhra’s sights - the spectacular panorama of the Annapurna Ranges which form Pokhra’s backdrop. [B]

Day 5  Pokhra - Chitwan
Continue to Chitwan, one of Nepal’s largest forest regions, with a wide range of wildlife including the rare great one-horned rhino, the royal Bengal tiger, several species of deer, fresh water dolphins and more than 350 species of birds. In the evening, enjoy a talk by a local wildlife expert as they share their love of the local flora and fauna and of course the jungle! [B,L,D]

Day 6  Chitwan
A great morning as you visit the national park for an adventurous experience through the forest. After, you return to the lodge for breakfast where you can relax and enjoy  some free time before going back into the jungle this afternoon for an excting jungle safari. [B,L,D]

Day 7  Chitwan - Kathmandu
After breakfast you farewell Chitwan and drive back to Kathmandu. The rest of the day is at leisure and can be spent enjoying views of the Himalayas, bargaining your way through the narrow alleys of Asan or visiting the malls and King’s Way! [B]

Day 8  Depart Kathmandu
Say goodbye to the land of the Buddha as you transfer to the airport for your departure. [B]
