Day 1 Depart Australia

Day 2 Arrive in Athens
Kalimera! Welcome to Greece. On our arrival we will be met and transferred to our hotel. The rest of the day is free to relax and recharge before tonight’s welcome dinner in a traditional Greek taverna in the heart of Greece. [D]

Day 3 Athens
A great day as we explore magical Athens. We visit the historical Acropolis to see the Parthenon, the most famous site in Greece. We also visit the Temple of Athena Nike, the Wingless Victory, and the most sacred site of the Acropolis, the Erectheion Temple (famous for the Porch of the Maidens). The rest of the afternoon is free for you to explore hisorical sites, markets and museums at your leisure, or simply relax at a café with a refreshing Greek frappé! [B]

Day 4 Athens - Delphi - Kalambaka
A full day ahead of historic sightseeing as we travel to beautiful Delphi. After Athens, Delphi is the most popular archaeological site in Greece. Our visit includes the Temple of Apollo, the Sacred Way, the Stadium and the Castilian Fountain as well as the Delphi Museum. [B,D]

Day 5 Kalambaka - Meteora - Ohrid
Make sure your cameras are charged and ready to go as we explore the six incredible clifftop monasteries of Meteora, built on natural sandstone rock pillars. Tonight we stay in the relaxed town of Ohrid which is known for having more than 360 churches, one for each day of the year! [B,D]

Day 6 Ohrid - Tirana
After an enjoyable walking tour of historic Ohrid, we continue on to Albania, one of the most secretive and closed countries in the world, and stay in the capital, Tirana. [B,D]

Day 7 Tirana
This morning we enjoy a sightseeing tour of Tirana, including Skanderbeg Square, the Clock Tower, Palace of Culture and the National History Museum. The afternoon is at leisure to further explore this city. [B]

Day 8 Tirana - Dubrovnik
An amazing day as we travel through three different countries - Albania, Montenegro and Croatia. We stop at the cultural centre of Shkodra and the ruins of Rozafa Castle, then cross the border into Montenegro where we enjoy a stunning coastal drive along the Bay of Kotor to Dubrovnik. [B,D]

Day 9 Dubrovnik
Dubrovnik is known as the jewel of the Dalmatian Coast. The walled inner city has retained its old world charm as it has remained largely unchanged for more than 1,000 years. We enjoy a morning walking tour of this city then the afternoon is free for you to explore further. [B]

Day 10 Dubrovnik
A full day to explore Dubrovnik at your own pace. Shop in the narrow cobblestoned alleys, swim in the beautiful waters of the Adriatic Sea or indulge in the fresh seafood at one of the many restaurants. [B]

Day 11 Dubrovnik - Split
Sit back and relax as we travel north along the spectacular Adriatic coast to Split. Here, we enjoy a tour of the historic inner city. [B,D]

Day 12 Split - Plitvice Lakes
Today we travel to the artists’ town of Trogir and then on to the beautiful Plitvice Lakes National Park which covers 300 square kilometres and boasts 16 lakes interconnected by waterfalls. [B,D]

Day 13 Plitvice Lakes - Bled
We return to the coast to the beautiful Gulf of Kvarner and its popular resort, Opatija. We travel on to Bled via the impressive Postojna Cave. [B,D]

Day 14 Bled

Our morning tour features the lakeside town of Bled and its castle perched on a cliff high above the town. The rest of the day is at leisure. [B]

Day 15 Bled - Ljubljana - Zagreb
Today we leave the Julian Alps and travel to the Slovenian capital of Ljubljana, where our tour includes the open-air market, city hall, Robba’s Fountain and the Three Bridges. We then cross the border into Croatia and travel on to Zagreb. [B,D]

Day 16 Zagreb
This morning's highlights of Zagreb include the historic upper town, Saint Mark’s Church, Saint Catherine’s Church, the Parliament and Government Palace. [B]

Day 17 Depart Zagreb
Today we begin our journey home. [B]
