Explore the Tatio Geysers & the Atacama Desert
Enjoy this amazing experience as you travel from Calama to San Pedro, the gateway to the Atacama Desert. Here you will visit the Tatio Geysers located within the Andes Mountains of northern Chile. It is the largest geyser field in the southern hemisphere!
We continue on from this amazing landscape of volcanoes, mountains and plateaus travelling for the next 3 days by 4WD jeep into Bolivia stopping at Ojo de Perdiz, Tahua and Uyuni. Along the way you'll see an abundance of flamingos in the many saltwater lagoons in the desert and amazing giant cacti, some more than 12 metres high.
Visit the highest city in the world, Potosi
Discover the wonders of Potosi on a walking tour including the main square, its surrounding colonial buildings and the Mint House Museum where you can see the first coins minted in silver. Potosi used to be the major source of silver for the Spanish empire and you will visit the miners' market as well as travel to the 450-year-old mines.
Spectacular views in Sucre and Santa Cruz
The last days of your journey are spent in Sucre and Santa Cruz. Sucre was founded in 1538 and is very much a Spanish city. With its stunning well-preserved white houses from the 18th & 19th centures you'll find the city is simply charming. A trip to La Recoleta offers specatular views of the city and its surroundings. In Santa Cruz you'll have a full-day to explore the Eco Parque Guembe, home to the world's largest butterfly sanctuary, a huge collection of orchids and an aviary of tropical birds.
