Day 1 Depart Australia
Day 2 Arrive in Zagreb
Our tour begins as we arrive in the capital of Croatia, Zagreb. Here we will be met by our friendly local guide and transferred to our hotel. The afternoon is free to relax and freshen up before our welcome dinner. [D]
Day 3 Zagreb
Enjoy a morning sightseeing tour of Zagreb with its historical old city centre. The afternoon is free for you to explore or enjoy the European coffee and cuisine at one of the many cafés. [B]
Day 4 Zagreb - Sarajevo
We cross the border today into Bosnia and Herzegovina, enjoying a scenic drive through the mountains to the capital Sarajevo. [B,D]
Day 5 Sarajevo - Dubrovnik
This morning we tour Sarajevo which, over the centuries, has been influenced by numerous outside cultures. We then travel through the spectacular gorge of the River Neretva to the historic town of Mostar before continuing on to Dubrovnik. [B,D]
Day 6 Dubrovnik
Walking through the gates into the walled centre of Dubrovnik is like taking a step back in time. We enjoy a morning walking tour of the city centre then the afternoon is free to walk along the city walls and enjoy the stunning views. [B]
Day 7 Montenegro - Dubrovnik
Today we enjoy a full day tour to Montenegro. We drive along the beautiful rugged Bay of Kotor dotted with many charming little villages including Cetinje, which was once the seat of Montenegrin rulers but is now a living museum. [B]
Day 8 Dubrovnik - Split
We travel along the spectacular Adriatic coastline towards Split. All along the coast, small villages occupy the thin strip of land between towering mountains and cliffs and the bright turquoise waters of the Adriatic. Upon arrival in Split, we tour the fascinating city centre which is built within the remains of a palace. [B,D]
Day 9 Split - Trogir - Plitvice Lakes
Today’s highlight is the artists' town of Trogir where scholars from around the world gather to study and paint. Our journey continues with a scenic drive to the beautiful Plitvice Lakes National Park which is interconnected by a series of stunning waterfalls. [B,D]
Day 10 Plitvice Lakes
The World Heritage-listed Plitvice Lakes National Park comprises 16 terraced lakes surrounded by thickly-wooded hills. This morning we enjoy a walk around some of the lower lakes then the afternoon is free for you to explore independently. [B,D]
Day 11 Plitvice Lakes - Bled
This morning we visit the former imperial resort town of Opatija which is located on the beautiful Gulf of Kvarner. We then continue on to the town of Bled which is located in the heart of the Slovenian Alps. This by far is one of the most picturesque alpine resorts in Europe offering beautiful forests, waterfalls and streams amongst small villages and ancient towns. [B,D]
Day 12 Ljubljana - Bled
Have your cameras ready today as we enjoy some of the world’s most stunning scenery on our morning tour of Lake Bled. This glacial lake is surrounded by lush green forests and mountains, a medieval castle and Bled Island, Slovenia's only natural island. We then travel down to the
charming Slovenian capital of Ljubljana where we take a delightful tour on foot around the old town before heading back to our hotel for the night in Bled. [B]
Day 13 Bled - Venice
On our way to Venice we stop at the incredible and massive Postojna Cave. With a network of over 20 kilometres of passages, tunnels, galleries and chambers, it’s one of the most impressive cave systems in the world. You'll be amazed at the stalactite and stalagmite formations! [B]
Day 14 Venice
Welcome to the city of romance! This morning we savour the sights and sounds of this wonderful floating city on a walking tour of the major highlights. The afternoon is at leisure to further explore this beautiful city and perhaps enjoy a glass of red on a relaxing gondola ride. The possibilities are endless! [B,D]
Day 15 Depart Venice
Today we transfer to the airport to begin our journey home. [B]
