Melbourne Retail Team

Marica Salpietro, Retail Manager
Starting as a receptionist in a travel agency, Marica knew travel was her passion.  After spending the last 10 years looking after the travel needs of corporate clients she has now made the switch back to retail travel. Marica loves putting together exciting itineraries and looking at various options for all her clients – essentially making their dream holiday a reality!  Her travel career has seen her participate in a hula competition in Hawaii, walk the Overland Track and travel all the way to Dublin just for a weekend!

2011 was a big year for Marica as she packed up her bags and headed for London, where she worked as a Corporate Marine Travel Consultant in Waterloo.  She then embarked on 3 months of backpacking around Europe.  Some of her favourite activites were hiking in the Spanish Pyrenees, cycling in the Loire Valley as well as visiting the spice markets in Istanbul's old town. She was even offered 20 camels to marry someone in Tangier, Morocco!

While travel is her first passion, Marica is a keen writer who hopes to publish her first novel – though she hasn’t given up her day job just yet!

Maree is one of the original starters at our Bunnik Tours Melbourne office, being with us from day one. Maree is a country girl, growing up near Mt Buller in the Victorian high country.  This is where she developed her love for the snow.

As well as travelling around the world, she has also worked around the world, from Banff in Canada to Harrods in London and a small pub in Devon which all added to her wealth of experiences.

In her free time, Maree enjoys catching up with friends at the local pub, enjoys live bands and is also a bit of a gym junkie.
