The adventure begins...
Our Mexico and Cuba tour starts in Mexico City. Here we visit the archaeological site of Teotihuacan with its impressive Temple of the Sun and the Church of Our Lady of Guadalupe, arguably the most important Christiansite in Latin America. From here our tour continues to Oaxaca where wetour the surrounding region including Monte Alban, spiritual home ofthe ancient Zapotecan people.
Explore the charming towns of Mexico
Our next stop is the charming town of San Cristobal de las Casas. Here we visit several of the small indigenous communities and have a chance to bargain at the colourful local markets full of authentic Mexican handicrafts. From San Cristobal our tour continues to the ancient site of Palenque, which boasts several magnificent pyramids and temples.
Discover the ancient site of Chichen Itza
Mexico is a treasure trove of fascinating ancient sites and no tour of Mexico would be complete without a visit to Chichen Itza. The most famous of all the Mayan sites, its home to the Kukulkan Pyramid, which was recently, voted one of the new Seven Wonders of the World. The beautiful beach resort of Playa del Carmen is our last stop on the Mexico part of our tour before we continue to Cuba.
Experience colourful Cuba
Our Cuba tour starts in the colourful capital of Havana, where we explore the old town and enjoy a ride in a classic American car. The coastal city of Santiago de Cuba is our next stop, the site where Castro & Che Guevara’s revolution commenced. Other highlights in Cuba include a visit to the province of Pinar del Rio home of the Cuban cigar, a visit to the beautiful colonial town of Baracoa and a fun day exploring the Escambararaye Mountain region where we have the chance to swim in the refreshing El Nicho waterfalls.
