“India was truly amazing. Trucks, motorbikes everywhere, Tigers, leopards, elephants, camels, sunsets in the desert, incredible forts and palaces, The Taj, great food, fantastic hotels, dogs, antelopes, villages, cows, people, people, people and more people.

As you know we had different guides but the same driver for the entire trip. Raj Kumar (the driver) was incredible! I will always be amazed at how he managed to negotiate the traffic in India without a scratch to the car. He was a very friendly and genuine person and took extremely good care of us with nothing to much trouble. He would often add items of interest to our trip and would stop at villages so that we could interact with the locals. Along with the items included in the trip, we spent some time with a family making mud bricks and learnt how it was done, stopped to watch bullocks pulling water from a well and discussed life in India with the farmer, bullocks grinding mustard seeds for oils and more, each one adding to our understanding of Indian culture.

Raj would arrange the best restaurants for us to eat in, was always early an nothing was too much trouble for him. We felt very fortunate that he was our constant companion during the Indian trip.

Thanks again – we are already starting to plan our next trip!
