India - Shimla Hill Station Itinerary

Day 1 Delhi-Kalka-Shimla
An early morning transfer to Delhi railway station in time to board your train to Kalka. The journey will take just over 4 hours and takes you through typical northern Indian rural scenes. Upon arrival in Kalka you will transfer to the delightful Himalayan Queen toy train bound for Shimla. You arrive in Shimla late this afternoon and are met and transferred to your hotel for a three night stay.

Day 2 Shimla
This morning you enjoy a tour of Shimla including the famous mall which runs through the centre of town following the crest of the ridge upon which Shimla is built. Other highlights include Jakhoo Hill, Summer Hill, the Tara Devi Temple and the Himachal State Museum. The remainder of the afternoon is free to soak up the relaxed atmosphere of this colonial town. Day 3 Shimla
A full day at leisure to further explore Shimla, enjoy some shopping or just relax in the cool mountain climate. [B]

Day 4 Shimla-Delhi
A relaxing morning before you are driven back to Kalka to board your afternoon train to Delhi. Upon arrival in Delhi you are met and transferred to your hotel. [B]

Day 5 Delhi
Today you are transferred to the airport for your onward flight. [B]
