The Big 5 and the endangered species of Africa

• Game drives in Kruger National Park, the largest and most famous game park in Africa
• Visit the Cango Ostrich Farm, learn all about the world’s largest bird, and experience the farming process first-hand
• Visit The Golden Gate Highlands National Park with its massive, colourful sandstone formations. These shine goldenyellow in the evening sun and give the area its name. This remarkable nature reserve consists mainly of indigenous grassland and is home to a variety of wildlife and birdlife including the rare bearded vulture and the bald ibis. The numerous caves in the sandstone rocks were once shelters for the Bushmen with many of their cave paintings well preserved. It was also here that many Afrikaans families hid from the British during the Anglo-Boer War.

• Experience Kwa Madwala Game Reserve, located on the southern side of Kruger National Park. Kwa Madwala means “place of the rock” from the local Swazi language and is one of the newest game reserves in South Africa boasting one of the most diverse varieties of wildlife in the country.
• Visit the Mantenga Nature Reserve and Cultural Village, a living museum bringing to life traditional 1850s Swazi lifestyles
