Client Feedback for South American Discovery- OLD

“To begin with – Congratulations! You certainly run a very professional outfit and if this tour is anything to go by, I shall be booking all overseas group travel with Bunnik’s in the future. I have told so many people about your company and its excellence and will continue to sing your praises for a long time yet!

The Tour itself was remarkable. The choices incorporated to give us such a variety of various cultures and countries which was quite remarkable.. Old civilisations cheek by jowl with their modern counterparts, ancient ruins and new cities, high mountain plains surrounded by towering volcanoes or mountains to the jungle canopy walk, Amazon and river environments, beach-side resorts, elegant cities to the most utilitarian towns, to near desert places in the high mountains, fascinating markets and a chance to partake of the variety of scenes, foods and cultures, the crashing falls of Iguazu to the magic of Macchu Pichu – were inspired choices by your team which were further enhanced by the most knowledgeable local guides and by our accompanying guides.

Just a word on our accompanying guides – Maria (Ecuador) and Gina (Peru and beyond). Both young women were of the highest professional standard. Not only did they attend to all our needs with efficiency and interest, but often went beyond the call of duty to attend to our comfort and curiosity. Matters concerning quite severe health difficulties within the group were handled with professional knowledge, real compassion and helpful involvement of medical staff when necessary. (As a trained nurse I was very impressed).

Their combined knowledge of their own areas and often beyond, was most impressive. Their demeanour to us was both respectful and professional, but when invited, could be personal and most friendly. They were each a great deal of fun and much admired and valued, enjoyed and deeply liked by the group.

Our local guides too, particularly Lily in Cusco, our Jungle guide in the Amazon, and (to be fair) each of the other local guides throughout, Maria in Rio, our guides in both Iguazu and Buenos Aries to mention just a few, made every stage of the journey both interesting and informed. We not only enjoyed their information and enthusiasm, but thoroughly enjoyed their company, as each presented a unique personality which resounded with pride in their particular area. I must here mention our bus driver, Rinaldo, in Peru, who safely transported us vast distances and through some very difficult driving, with grace, good humour and skill.

Our accommodation was excellent. Even our least favourite places were far better than expected, the general standard was well above ‘high’, and the occasional surprises of hotels such as the Hacienda near Otavalo, the fantastic ‘hot springs’ hotel in Papallacta, the surprise of such a modern and comfortable hotel in Iquitos, the lovely Ceiba Tops Jungle Lodge, and the amazing Aguas Callientes hotel near Macchu Pichu were really thrilling to the group and much appreciated and talked about.

Food supplied at all hotels was also of excellent standard and most affordable. Local restaurants were lots of fun too, and much patronised.. Staff at all hotels were at the least polite, but nearly always more than helpful and most willing to render any service or information that our limited exchange of language allowed. They did much better than we did.

Transportation too was extremely well worked out. I was very grateful for the number of internal flights which saved countless hours of bus travel, but when the coach travel was necessary, it was comfortable and very well executed by each driver on their particular route.

I’d just like to thank you and your wonderful team for you attention to detail, your planning that made our trip so ‘do-able’ with such little fuss, and the amazing variety of experiences you included in the tour to make it a truly remarkable trip which will be savoured and remembered forever.

Your guides need a resounding ‘congratulations’ as they constantly referred to Bunnik Tours with not only respect and loyalty, but affections and dedication. What a team!

“Just wanted to say what a fantastic holiday!!! I can’t stop talking out all the amazing experiences and the variety of activities that we were involved in on a daily basis.
Everyone on the tour got along really well and this made the holiday so much more enjoyable, I’ve made a great friend from my room-mate Helen.
Bunnik will definitely be my first choice when planning my next trip.

“Your South American Discovery tour was just that a discovery more so than a holiday. It gave us a look at how the other part of the world live. We had a great time and made some new friends. The tour was planned excellently with great tour leaders. Not one hick up or problem it ran like a clock.

My favourite country would be Ecuador, probably because we spent a lot of time there and toured through the country, whereas towards the end we only got to see the cities of each country, but it gave us an insight into the area and people.

Thanks for the trip of a lifetime I will certainly recommend Bunniks tours. Especially the Discovery tour of South America.

“What a time we had! It was great. This is just a short reply as we get our act into gear. The tour – and South America exceeded our expectations. The whole tour was wonderful.

As you may have heard, there were a few difficulties and we had to fly to Puno instead of drive, to avoid a group of rioters who where stopping traffic and then had to rush that night to Copacabana on Lake Titicaca to avoid a total transport strike. Our local guide, Gina was fantastic in making these changes, so that we did not miss out on any of the tour – except for walking on the reed Islands. But that was a small price to pay for the difficulties it could have caused us.

The highlights are too many to mention, so we will call in and see you once we have sorted out our photos, etc. Bunniks are fantastic and so many extras were added to increase our pleasures. Extra meals, extra excursions, such great local guides and experiences. I cannot praise the company enough, especially as we were such a small group.

“Well we had a ball, it is gruelling living out of a suitcase for so long, but that is my only complaint. Everything organised by Bunnik Tours went like clockwork, with just the right mix of organisation and freedom to do your own thing.
The guides were all very professional and knowledgeable with special mention regarding Eva Smeets our Ecuadorian guide, she and our driver Jaime really went above and beyond to make our experience there amazing!
John unfortunately was the worst victim of altitude sickness, but everyone got it to varying degrees. Still the overall experience far outweighed the discomfort – it really was a once in a lifetime trip!

Thank you to yourself and the the Bunnik team for making it all possible!
