Thailand Discovery - OLD Itinerary
Day 1 Australia - Bangkok
The infectious, friendly smile of our guide is a beautiful welcome to Thailand as we are met and transferred to our hotel. The Thai people are one of the friendliest and most humble people on the planet.
Day 2 Bangkok
Today we embark on an exciting tour of Bangkok. Our morning highlight is the stunning Grand Palace and the Golden Buddha, which was only rediscovered in the 1950s and is more than 3 metres, or 10 feet, in height and weighs more than 5 tonnes. In the afternoon we take a relaxing boat ride through the klongs (canals) of Bangkok past traditional houses built on stilts. Keep a watchful eye out for water monitors! This evening we enjoy an unforgettable welcome dinner cruise on the Chao Praya River. [B,D]
