Day 1 Bangalore - Mysore
Check in at the Leela Palace Hotel by 12pm. Enjoy lunch at Jamawar or Citrus before departing on your afternoon tour of Tippu’s Palace, Bull Temple and Lalbagh. This evening your train journey begins on the Golden Chariot. Enjoy dinner on board. [L,D]
Day 2 Mysore - Kabini/Bandipur
Visit Rajiv Gandhi National Park, the hunting retreat of the Mysore Maharajas and the perfect place for wildlife lovers in South India. This afternoon arrive at your jungle lodge and enjoy a jungle/boat safari. Overnight jungle lodge. [B,L,D]
Day 3 Mysore
Return to the train for lunch before an afternoon tour of Mysore Palace and Srirangapatnam. This evening’s entertainment is a cultural show followed by dinner at Lalitha Mahal Palace before returning to the train. [B,L,D]
Day 4 Hassan
Morning tour to Shravanabelagola, one of the most important Jain pilgrim centres. This afternoon continue to Belur to visit the famous Hoysala Temple Complex and to Halebid, once the capital of the Hoysalas featuring one of the finest Hoysala temples. [B,L,D]
Day 5 Hospet
Visit Hampi, a world heritage site and one of the major tourist attractions in India. Although in ruins today, this capital city once boasted riches known far beyond the shores of India. [B,L,D]
Day 6 Badami
Tour the world heritage site of Badami, located at the mouth of a ravine between two rocky hills. Visit the Badami Caves and Pattadakal with its beautiful chiselled temples. This afternoon depart for the beaches of Goa. [B,L,D]
Day 7 Goa
Morning tour of Goa, known as the “Pearl of the Orient.” Enjoy a city tour before arriving at Majorda Beach Resort for lunch. Return to the train in time for dinner. [B,L,D]
Day 8 Bangalore
Arrival at Yeswanthpur railway station in Bangalore. Disembark after breakfast. [B]
