Day 1 Depart Hanoi
This evening you will board your overnight train from Hanoi train startion for the journey to Lao Cai.

Day 2 Lao Cai - Sapa
You arrive this morning in the town of Lao Cai where you will be met by your local guide and driver. You travel through the colourful markets, stopping by a waterfall and a hydro-electric station, before continuing to trek on a trail through terraced rice paddies. Enjoy spectacular scenery while walking along a narrow river. The area is still covered by rainforest under the protection of Hoang Lien National Park. You will arrive in Y Linh Ho village, of the Black Hmong minority, where you can take a rest in a nice spot near the beautiful river before returning to your vehicle and heading to Sapa. You later visit Ham Rong Mountain, San May (Cloud Yard) and a local market. [B]

Day 3 Sapa - Lao Cai
Today is spent exploring Sapa, visiting the many natural sites and taking in the captivating colours of the native flowers. Walking along buffalo paths and trails, you visit some of the local villages that are nestled in the valleys and hillsides around Sapa. This area is mainly inhabited by the Black Hmong and Red Dzao people, who are known for their distinctive red headscarves. You then visit the handicraft village of Ta Phin, where you can pick up some souvenirs before continuing to the Lao Cai train station where you board your overnight train to Hanoi. [B]

Day 4 Arrive in Hanoi
This morning you arrive in Hanoi where you are transferred to your hotel or to the airport. [B]
