Day 6. Lake Nasser Cruise

This morning we visit the Kalabsha Temple. Construction of this temple started at the end of the Ptolemaic Dynasty and was completed under the rule of the Roman Emperor Augustus. The result is an interesting combination of imagery that includes Egyptian and Roman themes. Today we’ll also see Beit El Wali and the Kiosk of Kertassi. [B,L,D]

Day 7. Lake Nasser Cruise

We begin our day with a visit to the temples of Wadi El Seboua. Considered to be some of the oldest in Egypt, they were dedicated by Ramses II to two gods: Amon Ra and Ra Harmakis. This afternoon we continue to Amada and visit its ancient temples including Derr and the Tomb of Pennut. [B,L,D]

Luxor Temple is also home to a 25-metre pink granite obelisk, which was part of a matching pair until the 1830s when one was given to France. It now stands in the centre of the Place de la Concorde in Paris. [B,L,D]
