Step back in time as you walk through the cobblestone streets and admire the 18th-century architecture of the Portuguese colonial centre of Paraty, catch a train to Morretes and drive to Antonina.

Day 1 Rio de Janeiro

Welcome to Brazil and one of its most colourful cities, Rio de Janeiro! Upon arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel.

Day 2 Rio de Janeiro

Enjoy a day at leisure to explore this vibrant city, known for its festive atmosphere and beautiful scenery. Tonight you’ll enjoy dinner at Fogo de Chao, an authentic gaucho-style Brazilian churrasco and steakhouse. [B,D]

Day 3 Rio de Janeiro

Set out for a full day of sightseeing today. You'll see the iconic statue of Christ the Redeemer, travel through the Tijuca Forest to Corcovado by Red Train and explore Sugarloaf Mountain. [B]

Day 4 Rio de Janeiro - Paraty

Take in the beautiful scenery as you transfer to Paraty, a small town backed by mountains on Brazil’s Costa Verde. Enjoy an afternoon at leisure to explore or relax. [B]

Day 5 Paraty

This morning you’ll cruise the bay waters in a schooner, stopping along the way to sunbathe, swim or snorkel. Back on land the afternoon is yours to relax or explore at your own pace. [B]

Day 6 Paraty

Discover the charming cobblestone streets and 18th-century architecture in the Portuguese colonial centre of Paraty on a tour this morning. See more of Paraty at your own pace this afternoon, or simply enjoy the facilities at your hotel. [B]

Day 7 Paraty - Curitiba

Today you’ll fly to bustling Curitiba, the capital of Paraná, Brazil. Enjoy an afternoon at leisure. [B]

Day 8 Curitiba

From Curitiba train station you’ll travel by touristic train to Morretes where you’ll enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. This afternoon you’ll make your way to the historic town of Antonina before returning to Curitiba. [B,L]

Day 9 Curitiba - Iguazu Falls

Transfer by air to Iguazu, where you'll be met and transferred to your stunning accommodation near Iguazu Falls. [B]

Day 10 Iguazu Falls

Enjoy a walking tour of the Brazilian side of the thundering Iguazu Falls, offering fantastic views of the falls along the panoramic long board walk. You’ll also visit the tropical bird park of Parque Das Aves, set deep in the rainforest. There are some 160 species of tropical birds here, including toucans and macaws. Enjoy the afternoon at leisure to relax in your beautiful hotel or explore at your own pace. [B]

Day 11 Iguazu Falls

This morning you'll travel to the Argentinian side of the falls and travel to the Devil's Throat by ecological train before transferring to the airport for your onward journey. [B]

At Bunnik Tours we don’t put specific age limits on our tours, but we also recognise some travellers may find our itineraries challenging.
We have a duty of care to all tour participants and the tour guides, so we do impose a firm policy on the level of fitness required by all our clients to attempt to ensure your safety and the safety of other travellers on our tours.
At Bunnik Tours our goal is for all our travellers to enjoy their tour, not struggle through it! Which is why we want to work with you to ensure you are on the best possible trip for your fitness level. We do reserve the right to refuse bookings if we feel that the requirements of the tour are too demanding.
Bunnik Tours are for independently minded travellers with good levels of mobility.

In some regions travellers can also expect:
1. Long days of travelling, at times on dirt and gravel roads in Africa

3. Extended periods of walking/hiking through humid forest areas in Rwanda, Nicaragua, Guatemala, Mexico and Costa Rica
4. Limited medical facilities in remote areas

Bunnik Tours travellers are required to at least:
1. Be able to walk 2-3 hours on uneven surfaces
2. Walk up multiple flights of stairs and short, steep hills
3. Stand for 20 minutes without needing to sit down, often in hot/humid climates
4. Carry their own luggage
5. Get on and off various modes of transport without assistance, including small boats

The Pousada Porto Imperial Inn is located in the historic centre of Paraty in what was originally an early 19th century colonial mansion. Bourbon Batel has 73 cozy rooms providing both functionality and comfort to their guests. Hotel Das Cataratas, Iguazu Falls

Hotel Das Cataratas is the only hotel located within Brazil's Iguazu National Park, just a short stroll from the sensational falls. Guests enjoy exclusive access to the falls at dawn and dusk, when the park is closed to all outside visitors. A Portuguese – Colonial residence, this classic Orient-Express hotel is redolent with the atmosphere of relaxing on the veranda or beneath sub-tropical palms.
