Cruise the Nile River

Cruise the Nile River

A four-night cruise from Luxor to Aswan during our Egyptian Adventure small group tour allows you to enjoy the incredible scenery of the Nile River while also visiting ancient landmarks and learning more about Egypt’s captivating history. Here’s a taste of what you can expect.

Day one. A day on the Nile.

We enjoy our first day of cruising onboard the cruise ship making the most of the ship’s amenities and the spectacular scenery that surrounds you. Sitting on the roof deck and taking in the beauty of the Nile River and its banks is highly recommended!

Day two. Exploring Edfu and Kom Ombo.

Our first stop on our cruise is in Edfu, home to the Temple of Horus. The second largest temple in Egypt, and one of the best preserved, the Temple of Horus is believed to have been built on the site of the great battle between Horus and Seth. We enjoy time off the ship exploring this ancient temple. Next, we stop and visit the Temple of Kom Ombo. Dedicated to the two gods Sobek and Heroeris, this unique temple is beautifully situated on the banks of the Nile and was once a popular sunbathing spot for the crocodiles of ancient Egypt!

Day three. Uncover Aswan.

Time slows down in Aswan as feluccas tack back and forth across the river and locals go about their daily business at a more relaxed pace. We arrive in Aswan and, in contrast to the country’s many ancient landmarks, we visit Egypt’s modern feat of construction – the Aswan High Dam. Next, it’s on to the Unfinished Obelisk, the largest known ancient obelisk, and the Temple of Isis on Agikia Island. We take to the Nile in a traditional felucca for a relaxing cruise along the lifeblood of Egypt before returning back to the ship for our last night.

There you have it! A quick glimpse into what you can expect when you spend four days onboard a luxurious cruise ship on the Nile River. You’re guaranteed to have a unique experience and come home with special memories of this part of magnificent Egypt.
