Luggage Information

Because of the limited storage space in light aircraft and safari vehicles in Africa, please note the following luggage restrictions for this tour.

  • A soft bag is required
  • There is a maximum weight of 15kg per person

If you have any other questions about luggage requirements, please feel free to call one of our consultants on 1800 286 645 or email us.

Please Note:

  • As we cross into Zambia to complete the Victoria Falls Bridge walk; please ensure you take your passport. There are no visa requirements. You can take a small backpack/shoulder bag onto the bridge to allow you to store any valuables as well as your passport safely. The wearing of skirts should be avoided due to the harness required.
  • Kenya have enforced a total ban on single-use plastic bags. This includes garbage bags, carrier bags, shopping bags, and zip-lock bags that a lot of airlines require passengers to place their liquids within. Please ensure that before you either board a flight to Kenya, or arrive at a border entry point, that you have disposed of any plastic bags that may be within your checked or hand luggage. Failure to do so may result in a penalty.
  • Whilst on safari, ensure you wear layers, it can be quite cool in the early hours but can warm up as the sun rises.
  • On day 21, you have the opportunity to take an optional early morning hot air balloon safari over the famous Maasai Mara. This would be done in lieu of the early morning game drive that is scheduled. Due to limited availability, it is encouraged that you discuss your intentions with your guide on day 14, to ensure they can secure your tickets and avoid disappointment. Please refer to your optional tours list for further information.
  • The bush dinner experience on day 21 may be undertaken at breakfast, lunch or dinner and is dependent on the weather forecast for the day. The final decision will be made by your guide and the lodge locally. Regardless, all meal inclusions will remain the same.
  • The airline ticket for the flight between the Maasai Mara and Nairobi has been issued locally by our operator.

Optional Excursions

  • Bunnik Tours has a small number of optional excursions that may be available to you on your small group tour. These are based on special-interest activities that don't always appeal to everyone, meaning they're truly optional. To view our optional excursions in Africa click here
