ITINERARY

Day 1. Easter Island

Welcome to UNESCO World Heritage-listed Easter Island, one of the most remote inhabited islands in the world, which is perhaps best known for its over 900 moai, the monolith human figures carved between the years 1250 and 1500, and their creators, the Rapa Nui people. After you transfer to the hotel, the rest of the day is yours to enjoy at your own pace. Why not visit the nearby church and village?

Day 2. Easter Island

Today you’ll learn more about the fascinating history of the Rapa Nui people starting with a visit to Hanga Te’e, home to a variety of toppled moai. Next you'll visit Rano Raruku, the volcano that served as a quarry for about 95% of the stones used to carve the statues. After lunch you'll visit Ahu Tongariki, the largest stone platform on the island, and the 'Navel of the World'. End the day with a visit to the powdery white sands and warm waters of Anakena beach. Day 3. Easter Island

Then drive to the ceremonial village of Orongo, where the birdman competition took place.
