Located in northwest Rwanda, Volcanoes National Park is a haven for the rare and endangered mountain gorillas and golden monkeys. Spanning over 160 square kilometres, the national park is covered in rainforest and bamboo. It is also home to five volcanoes! Let’s take a look at some of the wildlife experiences here!

The Endangered Mountain Gorillas

These amazing creatures are the largest living primates on earth! Seeing them in their natural habitat, feeding and playing with their young is well worth the trek through Volcanoes National Park.

The beautiful Golden Monkeys

As their name suggests, these interesting monkeys have striking golden fur, which is contrasted by black fur on their limbs. It’s a fantastic experience to see these adorable primates interact and graze on leaves and fruit.
