Located in Rotorua, the iconic Wai-O-Tapu Thermal Wonderland is set in an active geothermal area within the Oktataina Volcanic Centre. Meaning ‘sacred waters’ in Māori, Wai-O-Tapu is a spectacularly diverse and colourful landscape, filled with huge volcanic craters, steaming vents, sinter terrace formations, colourful hot and cold springs and surrounded by a lush bush setting. See some of the magnificent sights to be found here within our photo guide.
