Straddling the border of Argentina and Brazil, Iguazu Falls is one of the world’s largest and most spectacular waterfalls. Standing on a platform suspended over the thunderous Devil’s Throat, we’ll sense the incredible power of the falls. [B]

Day 9. Iguazu Falls - Lima

On the Brazilian side of the falls, we wander along the canyon path, enjoying the panoramic views. We also visit the Parque Das Aves. Set deep in the rainforest, it is home to more than 160 species of tropical birds, including toucans and macaws. [B]

Day 10. Lima

Our sightseeing in Lima includes the Lima Cathedral, Convento de San Francisco and the Larco Museum, home to priceless Incan artefacts. [B]

Day 11. Lima - Cusco

Today we fly to Cusco, the former Incan capital. Our afternoon walking tour begins with a visit to the 17th century Cathedral of Santo Domingo. We’ll also see Koricancha, the Temple of the Sun. [B]

Day 12. Cusco - Sacred Valley

We travel into the incredible Sacred Valley, stopping to meet the llamas and vicuñas in Awanacancha and to visit Pisac's lively market. We’ll also visit the town and ruins of Ollantaytambo, an impressive Incan fortress. [B]

At Bunnik Tours we don’t put specific age limits on our tours, but we also recognise some travellers may find our itineraries challenging.
We have a duty of care to all tour participants and the tour guides, so we do impose a firm policy on the level of fitness required by all our clients to attempt to ensure your safety and the safety of other travellers on our tours.
At Bunnik Tours our goal is for all our travellers to enjoy their tour, not struggle through it! Which is why we want to work with you to ensure you are on the best possible trip for your fitness level. We do reserve the right to refuse bookings if we feel that the requirements of the tour are too demanding.
Bunnik Tours are for independently minded travellers with good levels of mobility.

Our tours include:

2. Lots of walking
3. Local and authentic experiences including various modes of transport and accommodation

In some regions travellers can also expect:
1. Long days of travelling, at times on dirt and gravel roads in Africa
2. Extended periods at high altitude (3,000-4,000 metres) in Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia and Ethiopia
3. Extended periods of walking/hiking through humid forest areas in Rwanda, Nicaragua, Guatemala, Mexico and Costa Rica
4. Limited medical facilities in remote areas

Bunnik Tours travellers are required to at least:
1. Be able to walk 2-3 hours on uneven surfaces
2. Walk up multiple flights of stairs and short, steep hills
3. Stand for 20 minutes without needing to sit down, often in hot/humid climates
4. Carry their own luggage
5. Get on and off various modes of transport without assistance, including small boats

Your tour already includes one visit to Machu Picchu; however you may wish to take a second visit to explore this phenomenon further. Please note that the 2nd visit includes entry and transportation only (guide not included).

Machu Picchu 2nd visit & Huayna Picchu - half day - $110pp US
Your tour already includes one visit to Machu Picchu; however you may wish to take a second visit to explore this phenomenon further and incorporate a climb up to Huayna Picchu (considered to provide the best view over Machu Picchu). Please note this includes entry into Machu Picchu, Huayna Picchu and transportation only (guide not included).

Please note: Huayna Picchu has a limited number of tickets available each day and on occasion it may not be possible to arrange entry upon arrival into Aguas Calientes. As an alternative you may wish to purchase your entrance ticket online in advance to secure entry. However, it is important to note that this option is non-refundable even if entry is cancelled due to bad weather. The online option will only secure your ticket to Huayna Picchu and entrance to Machu Picchu; the return bus from Aguas Calientes will be in addition and will need to be arranged locally.

Departure is from the entrance of the Iguazu National Park (Brazilian side) and can be taken when doing the Brazilian Falls tour. Can only be booked locally - please advise your guide if you are interested in this tour.

Jeep Tour Old Rio and Santa Teresa - 4 hrs - $66pp US
This tour starts in the historical centre of Rio de Janeiro. The architecture of Praça XV, Arco dos Teles, the França-Brasil House (Old Alfândega), the São Bento Monastery, and the Lapa Arches are prime examples of buildings from the Colonial era. The Banco do Brasil Cultural Museum, Municipal Theatre, Museum of Fine Arts and the Public National Library are examples of architecture from the Imperial era. Next stop on the tour is the neighbourhood of Santa Teresa. This traditional neighbourhood of Rio de Janeiro is home to mansions from the beginning of the 20th century, built mainly by the English who sought out this region for its mild climate. Nowadays, it is a hotspot for artists and eccentrics. The antique cable car still runs through the narrow streets as the main form of collective transportation.

Olympic Boulevard Tour – 6 hrs – $115pp US
Connecting more than 25 historical landmarks churches museums, cultural centres, shops and restaurants, the Conde Waterfront Park is Rio’s newest attraction. Part of the Olympic legacy, a once rundown area was fully renovated, and where previously stood an elevated highway, now is a promenade that crosses the city’s oldest neighbourhoods, reclaiming the area for pedestrians. Paço Imperial, the Old Cathedral, Candelária Church, the Olympic Pyre, Maua Square, Rio’s Art Museum (MAR), and the Museum of Tomorrow, are some of the highlights in this 3km (1,86mi) walk. In one end, is located the Aqua Rio, South America’s largest aquarium; and, on the other, lies the of Rio’s best cultural institutions, the National Historical Museum. You will be dropped off at one end of the promenade and will walk, with the guide, towards the other end. The amount of walking can be established by your interests and conditions. Most museums close on Monday in Rio. Entrance in any of the sites can be included for an added cost.

Hotel Das Cataratas is the only hotel located within Brazil's Iguazu National Park, just a short stroll from the sensational falls. Guests enjoy exclusive access to the falls at dawn and dusk, when the park is closed to all outside visitors. A Portuguese – Colonial residence, this classic Orient-Express hotel is redolent with the atmosphere of relaxing on the veranda or beneath sub-tropical palms. The name Pakaritampu derives from the Quechua words 'pakari' meaning dawn and 'tampu' meaning home. The diversity of the countries East to West - Rainforest -Andes -Desert - lush vegetation. Every corner there was something new and special. Accommodation and meals included were top class. Jesus obviously a very experienced Guide. Not only daily managing our group but getting everyone through customs and baggage checks with boarding pass for many many flights.
