Some things to note

Some things to note icon
  • A strict dress code applies when visiting mosques or religious sites, please wear modest clothing. Women are required to cover their hair, arms and legs. Men are required to wear long pants. Any brand names and exposed tattoos will need to be covered. Also, it’s a good idea to pack a spare pair of socks in your daypack, as sometimes shoes need to be removed when entering and the ground can be hot.
  • Visits to the Grand Mosque are not possible on Fridays
  • In order to minimise disturbing the turtles you will need to walk without a torch and no photos are allowed.
  • It is recommended for women to dress in modest swimwear such as shorts and t-shirts when swimming in the wadis.
  • Ramadan is observed from 7 February to 8 March 2027
  • Prices are per person based on twin share. Single supplement on request. Seasonal surcharges apply. Hotel upgrades are available. Please contact our office for details.

Let's Talk Fitness

At Bunnik Tours, we pride ourselves on our ability to create unique, once in a lifetime small group tours that are filled with incredible experiences you might not be able to have on your own, or in a larger group. However, that does mean aspects of our itineraries can be challenging for some travellers.

We want to make sure all Bunnik Tours travellers enjoy their trip, not struggle through it, so let’s work together to ensure our tours are right for you!

Fitness to Travel Requirements

Within seven days of your booking you will need to complete a Passenger Registration form, which also includes a Fitness to Travel declaration.

By competing the Passenger Fitness to Travel Declaration you confirm you:

  • Can walk for 4–5 hours per day at a group pace, often in direct sunlight and on uneven surfaces, without using a walking aid;
  • Can walk up multiple flights of stairs and short, steep hills without assistance;
  • Can stand for extended periods, including in hot and/or humid conditions, without needing to sit down;
  • Can carry your own luggage (including to/from hotels where porterage is not available);
  • Are comfortable using a combined shower/bath (note: stand-alone showers cannot be guaranteed at all properties);
  • Can get on and off various forms of transport, including small boats, multiple times each day without assistance;
  • Can negotiate archaeological sites, which are often uneven and unstable;
  • Can tolerate extended travel on rough, unsealed roads;
  • Understand that dietary requirements may not always be fully accommodated;
  • Do not have any mobility or medical condition (whether diagnosed or undiagnosed) including cognitive, mobility, vision, or hearing impairments, that may affect your ability to safely participate in tour activities or independently manage your well-being during free time on tour without special assistance from our (or our suppliers’) personnel.

If you have a health condition, such as cognitive impairment, vision/hearing impairment, or other medical conditions (diagnosed or undiagnosed) that may affect your ability to fully participate in tour activities or manage your own well-being during free time on tour, you will need to provide us with more details.

If you do not feel that you can confidently manage all of the requirements set out above, please work with our team of Travel Specialists to find an alternative that is better suited to your current level of fitness.

Please visit our Fitness to Travel page for full details on our fitness policy.
