Admire the lush, natural beauty of Lake Bled, situated in the art of the Julian Alps. You’ll be surrounded by stunning mountain peaks, brimming with forests, waterfalls and streams.

Take in the views from the slopes of the Matterhorn. From the top you’ll be able to see as far as Italy’s Gran Paradiso and France’s Mont Blanc.

Visit the fairytale castle of Neuschwanstein, built as a retreat for Ludwig II in the 19th century. It also served as the inspiration for Walt Disney’s Magic Kingdom!

Discover the sights of Salzburg, including those made famous by ‘The Sound of Music’ and the nearby Hallein Salt Mine.

Special Experiences

We visit the famous Naschmarkt. Be tempted by the smells and maybe try the local specialties - Palatschinken or Kaiserschmarrn!
We’ll make our way up the mountains to the open-air Museum of the 5 Torri, which bears the scars of WWI battles fought between the Italians and Austro-Hungarians.
Board the famous Glacier Express to Andermatt, winding around mountain landscapes, across deep gorges, through beautiful valleys and tunnels and over hundreds of bridges.
Ride a cable car up the slopes of the imposing Matterhorn to Glacier Paradise, the highest cable car station in Europe, for breathtaking views over the Italian, French and Swiss Alps.
At the top of Jungfraujoch we’ll admire the incredible 360-degree views, visit Lindt’s Swiss Chocolate Heaven and see the incredible ice palace which was hand-carved into the glacier ice.

  • Admire some of Munich’s most iconic buildings including the Frauenkirche and Marienplatz on a walking tour. Visit the Viktualienmarkt, Munich’s famous food market, and experience the Munich lifestyle at the English Garden.
  • Enjoy a traditional bavarian-style welcome dinner.
  • Visit Neuschwanstein Castle, the archetypal fairytale castle commissioned by King Ludwig II that was Walt Disney’s inspiration for Disney's Magic Kingdom. Our fairytale visit is complete as we return from the castle by horse and carriage.
  • Tour beautiful Schloss Linderhof, which was also commissioned by King Ludwig II.

With its emerald green lake, iconic fairy-tale church steeple perched atop the tiny rock at the middle of the lake and its medieval castle clinging to a cliff top, this is truly a magical place to behold. Our visit includes a tour of majestic Bled and visit inside the castle.
  • Indulge in a tasting of the locally produced cheeses at the Alpine Dairy Farming Museum.

Italian Alps

  • Stop in the gateway to the heart of the Belluno Dolotmites and hub of art, culture and nature, Pieve di Cadore.

Let's Talk Fitness

 In the itinerary, this symbol indicates 2+ hours of walking, often across uneven ground and in areas of high altitude or heat and humidity.

At Bunnik Tours we don’t put specific age limits on our tours, but we also recognise some travellers may find our itineraries challenging.

We have a duty of care to all tour participants and the tour guides, so we do impose a firm policy on the level of fitness required by all our clients to attempt to ensure your safety and the safety of other travellers on our tours.

At Bunnik Tours our goal is for all our travellers to enjoy their tour, not struggle through it! Which is why we want to work with you to ensure you are on the best possible trip for your fitness level. We do reserve the right to refuse bookings if we feel that the requirements of the tour are too demanding.

Bunnik Tours are for independently minded travellers with good levels of mobility.

Our tours include:

  2. Lots of walking
  3. Local and authentic experiences including various modes of transport and accommodation

In some regions travellers can also expect:

  1. Long days of travelling, at times on dirt and gravel roads in Africa
  2. Extended periods at high altitude (3,000-4,000 metres) in Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia and Ethiopia
  3. Extended periods of walking/hiking through humid forest areas in Rwanda, Guatemala, Mexico and Costa Rica
  4. Limited medical facilities in remote areas

Bunnik Tours travellers are required to at least:

  1. Be able to walk 2-3 hours on uneven surfaces without the use of any walking aid, on any given day
  2. Walk up multiple flights of stairs and short, steep hills
  3. Stand for 20 minutes without needing to sit down, often in hot/humid climates
  4. Carry their own luggage
  5. Get on and off various modes of transport without assistance, including small boats
