Some things to note

Some things to note icon

Please note:

  • Ramadan is observed in Morocco from 19 March to 09 April 2024. This will impact the 11 March to 25 March departures.
  • You should try to stay hydrated in Morocco’s dry climate. Water and fruit juice are everywhere and are perhaps the best things to drink. Freshly squeezed orange juice is a great way to start the day and nowhere is it better than in Morocco.
  • On Day 4 we have a long day of travel ahead of us as we make our way from Marrakesh to Fez. As such you may like to pack some drinks and snacks to enjoy on the coach.
  • On Day 9 you will travel via ferry from Morocco to Spain. Any sharp objects are strictly prohibited on-board and are subject to confiscation upon boarding.
  • Alhambra Palace has introduced new regulations to their booking system, which in turn has created difficulties in securing entrance to the grounds. The type of entrance into Alhambra Palace on day 18 varies and full access is not guaranteed. If we are unable to secure entrance to the site at all, we will substitute this with another inclusion.
  • Due to the popularity of La Sagrada Familia it is becoming extremely difficult to guarantee entry inside. If by chance the tickets cannot be secured, we will include an inside visit to Casa Batlló, the famous house remodelled by Antoni Gaudi. We will still visit La Sagrada Familia, with a full guided tour outside the structure. Status of the entrance will not be know until the start of our departure and will be advised locally by our Tour Director.

Optional Excursions:

  • All optional excursions are based on minimum participants and are subject to availability. The length of optional excursions advised is an approximate only. Optional excursions can be booked on tour directly with your Tour Director or guide. We recommend arranging the booking at the beginning of the tour to avoid disappointment. Please note some optional excursions may also be available on multiple or alternate days. Prices are a guide only and are subject to change without prior notice. Payment by cash is preferred as there are no guarantees that credit card facilities will be available. Please check with your Tour Director or guide locally for information relating to this. Credit card fees and exchange rates are at the discretion of your bank.

Let's Talk Fitness

At Bunnik Tours, we pride ourselves on our ability to create unique, once in a lifetime small group tours that are filled with incredible experiences you might not be able to have on your own, or in a larger group. However, that does mean aspects of our itineraries can be challenging for some travellers.

We want to make sure all Bunnik Tours travellers enjoy their trip, not struggle through it, so let’s work together to ensure you’re on the right tour for your fitness level.

Fitness to Travel Requirements

Within seven days of making your booking, you will need to complete a Passenger Registration form, which also includes a fitness to travel declaration.

In this declaration, you must confirm you’re able to do the following:

  • Walk for a minimum of 2-3 hours daily at a group pace, on uneven surfaces without the use of any walking aid
  • Regularly walk up multiple flights of stairs and short, steep hills
  • Stand for extended periods of time without needing to sit down
  • Carry your own luggage
  • Get on and off various modes of transport without assistance, including small boats
  • Drive along very bumpy, dirt and gravel roads for extended period of time

If you do not feel that you can confidently manage all of the requirements set out above, please work with our team of Travel Specialists to find an alternative that is better suited to your current level of fitness.

Please visit our Fitness to Travel page for full details on our fitness policy.

FITNESS TO TRAVEL

In the itinerary, this symbol indicates a particularly challenging day, where there will be extended periods of walking time, often across uneven ground and in areas of high altitude or heat and humidity.
