It’s an age old travel question – where is the best seat on the plane for your long haul flight?

We took it to the team to see if they could help solve one of the fundamental quandaries of travel!

Once we asked the guys to get real and forego their overwhelming preference for seat 1A (come on we’d all love to travel business class but alas that’s just not always possible) their choice was somewhat divided.

Drum roll please for the best seat on the plane …

  • 10% DIDN’T MIND EITHER WAY

  • 10% JUST WANTED THE EXIT ROW TO ACCOMMODATE THEIR LONG LEGS!

  • 30% PICKED THE WINDOW SEAT
Common reasons listed included taking photos, watching the take off and landing and that all important teeny bit of extra space to rest your head!

  • 50% OF OUR STAFF TOLD US THEY PREFERRED THE AISLE SEAT
Our staff are nothing if not accommodating and most people listed that they wanted to be able to leave their seats without disturbing others. Isn’t that nice! It seems they didn’t mind the idea of a window seat if they had a travel companion however or if flying above the Andes or Antarctica.

Plane
Yeah, we can see why!

Back to business and first class…

So let’s get back to what we all really want to know about – what’s it like up in business class when that curtain is drawn across? Our fearless leader Dennis Bunnik performs his civic duty and shows us just what it’s like travelling first class and business class with Qantas, Emirates, Qatar and Cathay.
